Dhubri District has been divided into 14 Zones. All 14 Zones have been alloted to a zonal officer for R.P.R.S. programme. The A.D.Cs, Project Director-DRDA, S.D.O(c ) and other senior officers are appointed zonal officers. The District has 172 Gram Panchayats. As such 172 Nos. of Nodal Officers have been appointed against each Gaon Panchayat. They are such as Circle Officers and Asstt. Engineers and other Departmental Officers who are supported by a team of officers & employees. Both the rounds of R.P.R.S Programme were held successfully in the District. Peoples participation in the Gaon-Sabhas in both rounds of R.P.R.S Programme was encouraging . The zonal officers attend the Gaon- Sabhas in their respective zones. The Deputy Commissioner also attended Gaon-Sabhas every day covering all the zones of the 3 (Three) Sub-Divisions of the District in the last 3 (three) rounds.
Dr. P. Saran Commissioner Administrative reforms Deptt. Govt. of Assam also attended a few Gaon-Sabhas during the 1st phase of R.P.R.S programme. The brief picture of both the rounds are as follows :
